ABOUT Founder and Author of pedokinetika® early development
approach Andreja Semolič
Andreja Semolič is the author and creator of the early approach through understanding how
kinetics influences and determines developmental patterns. She studied at the University of
Ljubljana, the Feldenkrais Institute in Vienna, and ARTEM Germany.
Her foundation in understanding body movement and will power also comes from practicing suryashakti yoga, sankukai karate, tao, and professional muscle training at international level competitions.
She developed her own exploration of body and mind as an inevitable whole through an in-depth improvement of integrating Feldenkrais® method with the latest findings and discoveries in neurobiology and psychodynamic development processes.
Throughout the many years (since 1994) of work in the field of movement and integration of skeleton, muscle and will power she has incorporated her knowledge and experience into DFA (Developmental Functional Approaches) and she innovatively justifies these in the concept of early development, which she patented under the name of pedokinetika®.
By the means of pedokinetika, Andreja not only observes the development as it is reflected in
a natural way in children up to the independent stance on their feet, but she also establishes
the kinetics key moments helping their parents that by reflection and awareness of their actions, on
how to lift, turn, shift or merely daily nurture a child, are entering into contact with the child
in a natural way, only when they cross the limits arisen due to unclear beliefs and fears.
I couldn’t agree more with the following quote:
“There is no single effort more radical in its potential for saving the world than the way we bring up our children.”
Marianne Williamson
